Terms of Service

split.room is a shared ledger that helps roommates track rent, bills, and agreements. It is a record-keeping tool. We do not hold, transfer, or move money between roommates, and we are not a bank, landlord, or legal advisor.

• You must be at least 16 years old to use split.room.
• Keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Only log information that is accurate and that you have the right to share with your household.

Households of up to 4 roommates are free. Additional roommates and the formal signed roommate agreement download are one-time $1.99 purchases, as described on our pricing section. Prices include no hidden subscription. Because add-ons are delivered immediately, purchases are non-refundable except where required by law or if the add-on fails to work, in which case contact support@splitroom.space.

Agreements created in split.room are written and signed by you and your roommates. We provide templates and a signing record, but we do not guarantee that an agreement is legally enforceable in your jurisdiction and it does not replace your lease.

Do not use split.room to harass roommates, upload unlawful content, attempt to access other households, or overload or reverse-engineer the service. We may suspend accounts that do.

The service is provided “as is.” Calculations are based on the data you and your roommates enter, so please double-check important amounts. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before a claim.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may update these terms and will notify you of material changes before they take effect.
